Bienvenidos a Mérida!

This Website is a compilation of information put together by the Institute for Study Abroad, Butler University (IFSA-Butler) México office on your behalf. It is a valuable resource, which we hope you will keep handy and refer to throughout your stay in México.

IFSA-Butler University provides 360° of support for students through our offices located worldwide. The IFSA-México office specifically deals with matters pertaining to: on-site academic advice, immigration issues, housing with local families, social events, arts and traditions, to facilitate your adjustment into the local culture. In addition to this website, the IFSA-México office puts together a two-week long on-site orientation program, where academic and non-academic information is reviewed thoroughly. During the remaining of the semester we hold weekly meetings to ensure your well-being and last but not least, students receive a monthly newsletter with program updates, program changes, as well as last minute information from IFSA-Butler, Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán, UADY and the city.

All efforts have been made to ensure that the information contained in this website is, to the best of our knowledge, accurate. You are about to find out, however, that changes are bound to happen. To have a successful, stress-free time in Mérida, it is important that you accept things with an open mind and try to be flexible and patient. Suggestions and recommendations are welcome.
